September 17th, 2013 Forecast

As high pressure settles in tonight, skies will clear out.  However, it will turn breezy and cooler overnight.  Lows will range from the mid 40s in the Lehigh Valley to the low 50s in Center City.  Winds will be out of the north at 10 to 20 mph.

Tuesday will be sunny and cool.  Most places will struggle to reach 70 degrees, but the city should manage to get to 70.  Winds will be out of the northeast at 5 to 15 mph.

High pressure will remain in place for Wednesday and Thursday.  Temperatures will turn a little milder each day with bright sunshine.  A cold front will approach from the west by the end of the week.  The models still don't agree on the timing, but it could come through at any point during the weekend, so for now I have to put a shower and thunderstorm chance in the forecast for both Saturday and Sunday.  One of these two days will likely end up dry, but it's hard to say which one at this point.  We will keep you updated as new model data becomes available.
