September 9th, 2013 Forecast

A rollercoaster of temperatures is on tap for the region over the next week, starting out comfortable tonight and tomorrow before we get a couple of cracks at 90 degree warmth in the midweek. Another shot of cool will follow for the weekend.

Tonight will be a calm but cool evening around town -- lows generally in the 50's for many, with 40's to the northwest of the city. Skies will be clear and it will be a cool night around town.

Monday will be spectacular -- sunny start, some increasing high level clouds in the afternoon from the west as warm air aloft nudges back into the picture. Expect highs in the mid and upper 70's with light and variable winds (generally east but there will be some nudging around on direction through the day).

Temperatures hit their warmest peak on Wednesday -- near 90 for many of us with warm and humid conditions, perhaps a storm or two popping up. A better chance of thunder is in the forecast on Thursday as a frontal boundary pushes through the region.
