October 12th, 2013 Forecast
Tonight - you guessed it - more rain. Showers could be off and on but they'll be be fairly widespread. Some high school football games could be cancelled. Lows tonight in the mid-50's in the outlying suburbs and into the upper 50's closer to the city. Winds will remain breezy, from the northeast at 5 to 15 mph tonight and tomorrow. By Saturday, we'll still see some drizzle and showers but they'll be more intermittent. It'll be warmer as well, with highs in the upper 60's to lower 70's.
Sunday, we could start seeing some breaks in the cloud cover, but overall another mostly cloudy day with still a change at some light rain or drizzle. Clearing will slowly occur, mainly later in the day as this whole system begins to move off. Highs Sunday back down into the upper 60's. By the start of the next workweek, we'll be seeing more clearing to partly sunny skies, however more clouds could be present along the coast. I think Monday might be our first dry day in a while, however. Highs Monday through Thursday will remain fairly uniform as well, with highs in the lower 70's and low in the mid-50's.
Tuesday looks like a great day, and an even better chance to open the windows and dry out. Wednesday will start out partly cloudy, but those clouds will increase throughout the day ahead of our next frontal boundary. Showers will be possible late-Wednesday into Thursday. Thursday will be partly cloudy but with some scattered showers around. By Friday, we're back down into the mid- to upper 60's under partly sunny skies.
As a side note, I'm happy to announce I am headed to the National Weather Association Annual Meeting, this year held in Charleston, SC. I'll be making a special blog post from down there and giving updates on social media. Stay tuned, there's a lot of interesting material that is scheduled.
