Some Thunder Around In Spots

Another warm day is on tap for the region today as we have a weak boundary residing across the region. While this boundary gradually pushes north, a disturbance will move east along it. It will trigger some pop up showers and storms across the region this afternoon and evening, with the best chances for them occurring to the north and northwest of the city. I don't expect a total washout -- I also think any storm activity that does fire up will be scattered in nature, not terribly widespread, but localized downpours in the strongest of storms can't be ruled out.

With another warm start out there -- 50's and 60's through the region, temperatures will be in good position for a jump into the low and perhaps mid 80's by day's end. Adding some extra "fuel" to the warmth today will be an increase in atmospheric moisture...it will become progressively humid outside through the day as dew points nudge into the 60's later on. Humidity and warmth stick with us through the weekend as the warm pattern holds throughout the Delaware Valley.
