Damp Start For Some Will Brighten

While this morning is milder than the past few, we are dealing with some showers around with a weak disturbance shooting out ahead of a cold front. This front passes through late tonight and will set up the cold weekend that's been talked about here and elsewhere for a few days.

The showers associated with the weaker disturbance will likely exit stage right by 10 AM, if not before, yielding a relatively dry day for the region. Most of the showers that move through this morning generally pass through to the city's north.  Sunshine should break out in spots through the course of the day...and that will help boost temperatures into the upper half of the 50's, perhaps brushing 60 in the city and points south this afternoon.  How warm we get is dependent on how much sun can push through those clouds but the thinking is that we should get pretty close to 60.

If you like mild weather, enjoy today.  Sunday will probably be some 20 to 25 degrees colder for a high.
